Norse
Guardian
WarriorThe sagas remember women who took up the shield beside their brothers, and the Norse, who respected very little, respected them. A shieldmaiden holds the line: her wall covers the heroes to either side as well as herself, and a board that puts her in front of its softer fighters lives several seconds longer than one that does not. In Ragnarök, several seconds is a victory.
